Field trip 03 / 03

Baja California Sur

Baja California Sur, Mexico

2023

Field notes

I travelled to Baja California Sur in 2023 to attend my father's wedding. It was the first time I'd set foot in the area and, honestly, I thought it was a beautiful place. I stayed in La Paz for the wedding, and over the next two weeks we drove around the peninsula, almost all the way to the central part.

What struck me most were the pelicans: I'd never seen one in my life. Back home I'm used to seeing loads of gulls, and the pelicans looked to me like huge gulls. I loved them.

I fell in love with the area, and I'd love to go back someday.
